In 1986 Marsha Gardes was working for Robin Williams and then-wife Valerie Velardi as a nanny. By 1989, Williams left that marriage and married Marsha, who became not only his wife, but also his co-producer (MRS. DOUBTFIRE, PATCH ADAMS, among others).
