One of the Brothers Gibb (later shortened to simply Bee Gees) and twin to brother to Robin, Gibbb had complained of abdominal pains, was admitted to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery for an intestinal blockage in January of 2003. This blockage later proved to be a twisted, or rotated, small intestine, and figured significantly in his death.
