Christopher Pettiet began his career as a handsome child actor who worked in television, and then moved on to a couple of feature films as a young adult, after which his career rapidly began to wane. He died of a drug overdose (the combined effects of cocaine, valium, and darvon) at age 24, never having admitted to suffering a dependence on drugs.
